Nari Kala Mandir Training Centre and Project Unnati, two initiatives dedicated to empowering women, have made significant strides in equipping individuals with essential skills for self-sufficiency and improved livelihoods. Through comprehensive training programs and placement assistance, these initiatives are transforming the lives of women, creating a ripple effect of positive change in communities.

Nari Kala Mandir Training Centre:

  • The centre has offered one- and two-year tailoring and allied craft courses for several years, funded by the Directorate Social Welfare, U.P.
  • Courses conclude with certificate or diploma awards.
  • In the past year, 51 students enrolled, with 31 appearing in the examination and achieving a 100% pass rate.

Project Unnati:

  • Launched in 2015, this joint initiative between Nari Sewa Samiti and Bajaj Auto Ltd aims to empower women through employment-linked skill development.
  • Its second phase (April 2019–March 2023) trained 1,300 students in various trades despite COVID-19 challenges.
  • These trades include in-demand areas like computer training, beauty culture, fashion designing, and hand embroidery.
  • Over 500 graduates secured placements, while 300 became self-employed through their own businesses.
  • The computer training course recently gained affiliation with Skill India, a government-run program, further enhancing its credibility.
