Nari Shiksha Niketan PG College is an esteemed institution affiliated with the University of Lucknow. Established on July 16th, 1963, under the UGC Regulation Act 1956, our college has been a pioneer in women's education in Lucknow. Initially offering Science courses, the college expanded its academic horizon in 1994 by introducing M.A. classes in Hindi, marking the commencement of post-graduate programs.
In the year 2000, responding to the evolving educational landscape, a new faculty of Commerce was established under the self-financing scheme of the University, further diversifying our offerings. Today, Nari Shiksha Niketan PG College proudly boasts three faculties encompassing Arts, Commerce, and Science, catering to a vibrant community of 1000 students.
Our commitment to academic excellence is underscored by the recognition we've earned over the years. In July 2008, the college was granted the IEQA Status, and in September 2009, it was awarded Grade 'B' by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India. In the realm of undergraduate studies, the Faculty of Arts offers 14 subjects for B.A. with a total seat capacity of 560 (Regular), while the Faculty of Science provides instruction in four subjects with a regular seat capacity of 100 for B.Sc.
Notably, the Faculty of Commerce and Psychology in B.A. operate under the self-financing scheme, with a total seat capacity of 80 (Self Finance) for B.Com.
